V8TV S71 Olds

The ISIS Power team first hooked up with Kevin and Kelle Oeste of V8TV just before our debut at SEMA in 2008.  They shot the video that we still use today on the landing page of the ISIS Power website.

They have just finished wiring their "S71" 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass.  This is a beautiful car.  The original owner wanted a 442, but the price tag on a 442 was a little out of reach, so this 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass S was ordered new with every 442 option except for the 455 Olds engine. It's got the bucket seats, 4-speed, Outside Air Induction fiberglass hood, sway bars, disc brakes and a 350 4-barrel.  From there the V8TV team added an Olds diesel-block based stroker motor with the help of BTR Performance,  a Bullseye Power turbocharger, FAST XFI fuel injection, a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed, and a pro-touring style suspension and brake package.

They have wired the Olds with our ISIS Power system.  Starting with our 3-Cell Kit and inLINK, this is a pretty straight forward wiring project.  Doing what they do best, Kevin & Kelle have taped the whole installation and are just finishing production.  Keep an eye on http://www.v8tvshow.com/ to catch the installation action.  You can also subscribe to their YouTube Channel by visiting http://www.youtube.com/user/V8TV.  They have tons of great videos covering the entire process of restoring a muscle car.

Here is a great video that they shot in our booth at the 2009 SEMA show.

Here are a few last teaser shots of the car.  Stay tuned for more on the V8TV S71 Olds wired with ISIS.

1960 Ambulance with ISIS

Here's another great example of the flexibility and agility of ISIS.  This is one of those customer car that bridges between the aftermarket and commercial side of our business.  Remember that ISIS was designed to help commercial customers wire their vehicles.  Its original intent was for construction vehicles, agricultural equipment, military trucks and off-highway equipment.

Dean N approached us towards the end of 2011 with this unique 1960 Chevrolet Ambulance.  It is a rare car because it is believed to be the only vehicle produced by that upfitter in 1960.  So he needed a way to refresh the wiring in the car while being as non-invasive as possible.  At the same time, he needed a way to control the original light bars, wig-wags and other lights in the ambulance.

Since this ambulance has been around for over 50 years, it has been modified several times by each guy who owned it.  This meant that the wiring had been hacked into several times.  Here are a few pictures of where Dean started to rewire this car.

Dean started with our 3-Cell Kit with inLINK.  He added an extra POWERCELL to carry the extra lighting that he has plus the controller for the air suspension that he installed.  We created some custom code that allows him to directly control all of the lighting on the ambulance.  He was able to remove a significant amount of the original wire harness plus a lot of the unnecessary relays.  The end result is a much cleaner wire harness with less weight and complexity.

Charger with inTOUCH Mobile

Dwayne D just sent us some pictures of the Charger that he finished for his customer.  This is a neat car, completely wired with our ISIS products.  One of the coolest features of this car is the iPad in the dash.  In addition to using the iPad for audio, video and GPS, they are controlling the car's functions through our inTOUCH Mobile.

This is a pretty involved car with lots of switched functions.  They mounted their MASTERCELL and front POWERCELL above the driver's foot box.  This kept the runs of wire to the switches and the outputs in the front of the car very short.

They actually have two of our inMOTION motor controller cells in this car.  They are controlling all of the windows plus the headlight covers off of these cells.  Dwayne built a customer center console to hold the inMOTION cells and to route the wire going to the outputs.

They mounted the rear POWERCELL behind a trim panel in the trunk.  This is very easy to hide but very accessible for maintenance if needed.  Also, the runs of wire to the tail lights, brake lights, fuel pump and other outputs are very short.

The dash has a very modern feel.  The gauges really stand out on that custom made console.  The iPad in the center of the console gives the whole car that really modern look and feel.

This Charger is a great example of what you can do with our ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System.  In one integrated system, you can eliminate wire, simplify the electrical install, eliminate relays and do things that no other wiring harness can do in your car.

Rally Video from Heli-Racing

We've posted about these guys before.  Heli-Racing in Belgium builds Rally cars.  In general, Rally racing is extreme: lots of vibration, mechanical shocks, heat and dirt.

Here's the latest video from the Exotic Green Rally.  Check out the abuse the ISIS Power can handle.

ISIS Powered 1967 GTO

Randy B. and his guys at Painthouse of Texas have just finished a beautiful 1967 GTO wired with our ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System.  He used one of our 3-Cell Kits with inLINK.  It is a pretty straight forward wiring job.  The finished product shows how polished the package can be.

This car made it to the top 5 at the ISCA finals this year and was a Ring Brother's "Builder's Choice" at the Goodguy's PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio this year.

The engine compartment looks great.  If you look carefully, you can see the front POWERCELL tucked up above the inner fender.

Here is a shot of the interior.

Randy and his guys built this one to drive.  Here is a video of two of their cars, including this GTO running the autocross track at the Goodguy's show.

A Very Cool ISIS Powered S10 Truck

We occasionally get customers dropping by our office to show off their projects.  Today was a great example.  Chris C. brought his Chevy S10 show truck by the ISIS Power HQ to show us what he did and to get a few quick code changes.  He and his girlfriend were on their way to a truck show near Indianapolis.  Their travels took them past us in Elk Grove Village.

Chris really loves this truck.  It is the first car that he ever owned.  He had done some modifications to it but it was totalled in an accident.  He started over from scratch and it has become something pretty cool.

First, he dropped in a bored-over Chevy 350.  It has a great rumble to it.  Then, he channeled and bagged it.  With the air dumped, it sits on its frame rails.  Then, there are the little details.  The doors and tail gate are shaved.  The interior, bed and engine compartment are done up with accent LED's.  Lastly, he has a simple 150 hp of Nitrous to keep things interesting.

He chose to yank out the original OEM wiring and start over from scratch with our ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System.  He started with our 3-Cell Kit, added inMOTION for the windows and lastly upgraded to inTOUCH Mobile for his iPhone.

inTOUCH Mobile really makes this truck.  His phone is the key to the truck.  He uses it to disable security, pop the doors, control the lights and the windows.  He can push a button from the main screen and dump the air solenoid to drop the truck to the ground.  Also, we modified his code to automatically roll up the windows when he enables security.  It will be a hit at the show this weekend.

He proudly shows off the wiring in the truck.  His front POWERCELL is mounted right on the firewall.  The ISIS system is designed to handle the roughest environments so this location is fine.  This also makes wiring the front of the car very easy.  All of his runs of wire are very short.

He has his rear POWERCELL mounted to the inside wall of the truck's bed.

Finally, he has his MASTERCELL and inMOTION cells prominently displayed between the two seats in the cab.

Give our guys a call if you want to learn more about how our ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System can simplify the wiring in your car or truck plus give you features that no other electrical system can.  Keep watching our blog for more examples of how our customers are wiring with ISIS.

ISIS Power Nitrous Oxide Controller

Based on the success that we have with the drag racing system that we developed with the team at Alson Racing and Heidts, ISIS Power has expanded our racing offering to include the most flexible and powerful Nitrous Oxide controller on the market.

It uses the same rock-solid technology used in the ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System that powers RV's, busses, command vehicles and military trucks. On top of that, we have added a very simple switch interface that is easy to use and quick to wire into the car. Most importantly, we have added our 4-Channel Time controller that lets your dial in your stage timing from a simple knob. There is no controller that is easier to use at the track.

You can purchase the ISIS Nitrous Controller as its own stand-alone system. If you have already wired your car with ISIS or the Alston Drag Racing kit, you can easily add the ISIS Nitrous Controller to your car. This gets you all of the flexibility that you need to control all of the switched functions in your drag car. Plus you get a power electrical system that is easy to install and quick to troubleshoot.

You can control up to 4-stages of Nitrous in the kit. If you have more stages, you can simply add extra POWERCELLs to control them. Controls are set in place to manage the line-lock and trans-brake solenoids as part of the system. The first stage can be set to progressively apply fuel and Nitrous.

After months of testing, we're debuting the system this weekend at the Route 66 Speedway in Joliet, IL. Look for Team Midnight Racing's black 2002 10.5 inch Outlaw Corvette. Stop by to talk to the team to learn how ISIS simplified the way that they wired the car and how they power it.

You can contact our technical support team at (847) 232-1991 or at sales@isispower.com for more information on the ISIS Nitrous Oxide Controller and the rest of the products in the ISIS Power family.
